Regulation of SALW (Small Arms and Light Weapons) in Indonesia

Police Decree Skep / 1 198/2000 dated 18 September 2000, concerning the Implementation Handbook Supervision and Control of Firearms Non Organic army / police:
  1. The definition of a firearm is a weapon capable of releasing out one or a number of projectiles with explosives. The definition of a firearm is a firearm parts; cannons and guns flamethrowers and parts thereof; gun air pressure and spring pressure gun caliber 5.5 mm and above; pistol, revolver or rifle that can either be filled with blank bullets; weapons handheld that uses electricity; and weapons similar to the above weapons, which can be used to threaten or frighten someone. 
  2. Definition of ammunition are all objects with certain properties and ballistics that can be filled with explosives or gunpowder, and which can be fired with the weapon with the intent or not addressed to a target to damage or destroy. 
  3. Definition of bullets, the ammunition that the operation uses a weapon or destructive device.


So .. for still using a pellet gun with a caliber UNDER 5.5 mm pellet gun owners are still free to have it with unconditional .. only owner in their usage masing2 awareness including safety / safety of his .. :)
